Fox News Host Calls Out NRA Chief: Thats Ridiculous And You Know It, Sir (VIDEO)
PEMA LEVY 10:11 AM EST, SUNDAY FEBRUARY 3, 2013
Fox News host Chris Wallace called out National Rifle Association CEO Wayne LaPierre on Sunday for arguing that President Obama's children live under the same threats to their security as all other school children.
............
Wallace asked his guest on "Fox News Sunday" if he regretted airing a controversial TV ad in which the NRA went after President Obama for providing armed security to his daughters but not supporting their proposal to put armed guards in all schools.
"They also face a threat that most children do not face," Wallace said of Obama's daughters.
"Tell that to the people in Newtown," LaPierre responded.
"You really think that the president's children are the same kind of target as every other school child in America?" Wallace said. "That's ridiculous and you know it, sir."

(488 posts)or may not be true. They may have some small modicum of decency and the room to display it, or they could be part of Faux's never-ending effort to sell their "fair and balanced" schtick. That might be more cynical than I need to be,but with Faux I'm sure a healthy dose of cynicism is necessary.Regardless I was pleased to see La Pierre called on his BS, and it doesn't hurt it was by a host at the privately owned propaganda arm of the Republican party..

(30,058 posts)Congress for them to do their job. They should be the courageous and showing the way but they whimp out and hide behind their mom's aprons. Many of us are committed to get the gun violence under control, NRA is wanting to sell guns, they don't give a damn about anything but money. I am not a gun hater, I own guns myself, come from a big hunting family, understand one might need protection but we don't need the crazy. We have to protect the wellness of American Citizens and stop the attacks occurring too often. We vote also, Congress should already be aware of the votes going against members who does not do the right thing, we will be scoring those members and we will not forget. We took action to protect our cities against attacks from airplane strikes to our buildings and yet we sit back and fall short in protecting our malls, schools and theatres not to mention the gun violence we are seeing in homes from members of the homes where weapons of war are available.

(5,609 posts)which is why they gave the teabaggers and Sarah Palin a forum for several years past the standard 15 minutes. LaPierre is simply the latest and greatest nutbag on the block so we can expect to see his smug mug everywhere.

Did these people miss the report by the people actually at their school who stated that the security people at the school are not armed? The state of discourse in the U.S. is sad, sad, sad,
