That is the description that is emerging of the underground bunker guy/kidnapper/murderer guy. I think we will continue to hear from this type for some time to come. Obama's re-election was probably what let slip the last tether some of these folks had to reality.

(35,392 posts)Ya think if "we" started rounding up all those that "we" think are harmful to themselves and others and suffer from mental illness, the following would happen?
1. Ratings would plummet on Faux to only account for those who watch it to see what the nutjobs are going to say the next day at the water cooler
2. Faux & the imitators would be running constant commentary about how the Government is acting more and more like "Big Brother"
3. Gun sales would plunge to near zero
4. The ACLU would be swamped with pleas for representation of those "arrested by a government out of control"?

(4,831 posts)1. Guys who shoot their neighbors' pets and livestock.
2. Guys who go shopping at the mall with military style weapons strapped to their back.
3. Guys who have bunkers under their house..
Can you think of any others?

i also think there is some nice irony in self-described "survivalists" engaging in self-destructive behavior.
