It was slowly, steadily accumulating and yet I couldn't see the snow falling, it was like a wispy cloud hovering. We have a wall of windows pointing out onto a very leafy, mature, development so the trees are majestic and gnarled, 70-80-90 feet tall. Sometimes, when it gets like this or when in the heights of summer, when ever thing is so vivid it makes me feel what Adam must have felt when he looked out over Eden.
The falls are spectacular, a wild jumble of autumns palate.
It may be one of the least expensive homes in Westlake, as our broker pointed out 20 some years so, but I have a million dollar view right outside my home...

(67,111 posts)when it snowed it fell almost horizontally and swirled. I remember many a time as a kid with by siblings turning on the outside yard lights at night to see how hard it was coming down and hoping there would be no school the next day!
Where you are sounds absolutely beautiful!!!

(28,762 posts)for a living! I hate the white shit with a passion. Drive 575 miles everyday along western Michigan and northern Indiana and tell us how damn beautiful snow is!

(45,558 posts)It turned out to be a fierce winter that is still mention with ominous overtures every time winter weather threatens to snarl up the traffic. Granted, I didn't have tons of vehicle to maneuver but I had to park and trudge to the doors to deliver the daily news. I cursed winter that year for sure.
It snowed more today, ended up with about 5 inches all in all.
