He's talking about how no one does anything, they run scared of special interests, money talks too loudly...it's a real ass-chewing.

Kerry Farewell Speech: I Learned Humility After 2004
Secretary of State John Kerry recalled dusting himself off after losing the 2004 presidential election, during his farewell speech on the Senate floor Wednesday.
"Eight years ago I admit that I had a very different plan, slightly different anyway, to leave the Senate, but 61 million Americans voted that they wanted me to stay here with you," Kerry said. "And so staying here I learned about humility and I learned that sometimes the greatest lesson in life comes not from victory but from dusting yourself off after a defeat and starting over when you get knocked down."

Kerrys Points Out Three Major Problems With The Senate
Secretary of State John Kerry laid out three problems that he said are the most significant challenges to the proper functioning of the Senate, during his farewell speech on the Senate floor Wednesday.
Those three, he said, are a "decline in comity," a "deluge of money" and a "disregard for facts."

covered up, which are still creating problem for us today?

(135,425 posts)5. It depends on if his former colleagues take what he said onboard. He certainly made his points
in very clear fashion, without being shitty about it.

with the latest batch of new Senators, but it did include that waste of space Ted Cruz. Of course, this comes after 2010, which delivered Rand Paul and Ron Johnson, who are determined to establish their legacy as idiots.
