If you don't do one another thing today, please call and email your elected officials in the House and Senate -- and Harry Reid -- and demand legislation to make our public spaces safe from guns. Hearings start in the Senate today. Reid is wavering, and a lot of congresspersons are afraid of their constituencies -- if they don't hear from us, what they hear will be very one-sided.

(5,937 posts)I've called a few Republican senators today and left them messages. Actually, a live person picked up the phone at Jeff Sessions' office. She was delightful. She let me get a full sentence out before she cut me off with some scripted b.s.
