TSA, TSA, How Many Guns did you Grab Today!!!

The TSA, despite rumors that it has NEVER caught a single terrorist, does do its bit towards disarming the American public! Well over a thousand guns a year, about four a day - thirty just last week ( ):

(In the interest of public safety - actually my own safety - I added that sarcasim thingy. I support the TSE, and thought others would find this interesting.)

tSA may well be my very least favorite government agency, but their grabbing guns is not a worry and ought not be a worry to ANY intelligent person.

Guns are not allowed on airplanes. I don't want to fly in a plane where a passenger has a weapon. I applaud the TSA for the good job it has done in confiscating weapons from passengers before they board.

Everybody knows that guns are not allowed on planes. So anyone trying to bring one on board deserves to have it confiscated.

1. The TSA doesn't catch terrorists, they try to prevent terrorism.
2. Any idiot trying to take a weapon on a plane deserves to have it taken away.

Try and get you NRA talking points straight next time.

I may be mistaken, but among the various things the TSA does, I would assume there is broad favorable agreement they should be taking guns away from people attempting to board aircraft.

Most of the time, these are guns that people have inadvertently left in baggage they use for other purposes when not flying, but I don't have a lot of sympathy for "responsible gun owners" who can't keep track of their guns.

It's a useless agency with a bad case of "mission creep".

As someone else has said: I'm an American citizen traveling in my own country. I am not a potential criminal.

TSO's are not "officers" they are clerks, working for an agency that is doing its best to turn itself into the Stasi.

When someone makes a claim like the TSA is attempting to turn itself into "the Stasi", it makes me suspect that they have an exaggerated, perhaps extremist, point of view that isn't anchored in reality.

The DHS and the TSA treat ALL travelers as potential criminals.

Here's a question: Do you opt out or go through the "Nude-O-Scope"?

If you don't opt out you are helping the "surveillance industry" accustom us all to these invasions of privacy and the ability of the state to treat everyone as a suspect. The idea of "innocent until proven guilty" is reversed at airline "checkpoints". And don't tell people not to fly if they don't want to be searched. The right to travel freely is the mark of a free society.

The TSA wants to extend searches to trains, buses, and eventually to private vehicles.

Do you support the 4th Amendment?

Do you support the 1st Amendment?

Or are you only interested in the 2nd?

If you want an insight into the madness that is the TSA I suggest you go here - https://takingsenseaway.wordpress.com
