Why is there no Democratic TV channel?

We read here daily about the outrageous jscarborow show, but the rest of the channel lineup talks consistently about how to fix the republican party and other republican issues. I just cannot understand why we can't have a channel that will speak to Democratic ideals and how we might change to achieve those ideals. Intelligence is what separates the Democratic party from the others so why haven't we figured out a way to cause this (tv channel) to exist?

disclaimer: I claim no intelligence even though I vote Democrat.

Current TV is the closest to Democratic and progressive ideas. The Young Turks, The Bill Press Radio Show, Stephanie Miller. But since so few watch it, its been sold to Al Jazzera. I do hope that they keep most of the programming, we need a voice.

We don't need echo chambers, either.

In other words, Republicans trust the media even less than we do. Statistically speaking the media is more accepted by democrats than it is by Republicans.

PLUS: Democrats watch lots of RW media -- Fox Rush, Hannity but Repubs won't watch Rachel, etc. I get most of my RW media right here on DU because many DUers are obsessed with it so they quote it, link to it and echo it (in the name of opposing it).

..., i.e., deliberately pushing a liberal angle and ideology in their coverage, and deliberately set about creating an apparatus to "counter" it. And they had billionaires, and self-interested media moguls and corporations to both create their separate apparatus and to stigmatize "liberal bias" in the MSM.

On our side, there was entirely too much faith in the independence and "intrepid reporting" of the MSM. Wealthy people on our side did not invest in media that could carry a message separately, nor did organizations that had the resources to develop one.

When we were young we were told that would be propaganda tv. But today it is the norm in the United States to be fed biased bullshit on a daily basis.
