As the California economy improves, Fox seems to be doubling down on their attacks

Gov Brown has been impressive in turning the state around. Fox News seems to be ramping up their disdain for the Golden State. I guess this plays well to their demograhic.

The rallying cry has been, "Do you want your state to turn into California!", yes please! Arizona sucks!

Unemployment is still high and wealth disparities are increasing.

Not saying he is wrong, but I for one am waiting for some results before getting out the pompoms. The economy is fairly fluid and some pernicious actions could make it hard for most of us.

When Prop 13 and then Prop 4 passed, Brown had the state step in and fund what was really local things. Those organization got dependent on that and now that he is withdrawing it, many places are in a world of hurt, especially the more rural areas. One can argue the history from a variety of view points but at this time the state is pulling back its funding to make its ends meet, pushing things back to the counties at record levels and declaring things good. They are not.

When the localities try to raises funds they have to go to the voters with decidedly mixed results. Eventually Prop 4 (Gann Initiative) will kick in there.

That is a flat-out lie. Fact is, once again a Democrat has sucessfully mopped up after a republican's fiscal chaos, and the Koch bro's propaganda machine has to make sure nobody knows that actually happened.

beggar red states to see how the right insanely looks down on California. If California kept 20% of the tax money that it sends out to broken red state economies, California would run perpetually larger and larger cash surpluses and be able to fun their education system lavishly.

but I didn't realize they were at war with my home state of California. Guess I shouldn't be surprised, but they should keep in mind that millions of people live there and don't want to hear this negative garbage.
