I usually do not read or link to HuffPo for a myriad of reasons, but I did click on a link from another website regarding the FLOTUS' eye-roll.
Holy hell, many of the comments there were vile (sexist and racist). Do they even moderate there anymore?
I would encourage my fellow DUers to find alternate sources. Yikes!

(4,253 posts)Arriana Huffington sold out . She let profit and greed overtake what she had.. now it is a RW rag as far as I am concerned.

(36,860 posts)I think the allure of the site is that it is a very effective news aggregator.
There have been times that I have used the site in order to find and link to original sources.
Other than that, I stay away.

(12,448 posts)This is the woman that married a gay republican politician to get her first payday, divorced him after the inevitable expose for her second, and then "discovered" her inner liberal and started this internet rag for her third payday, and then sold it to a RW media corporation for her latest payday.
She's just another money grubbing parasite and always has been.

(40 posts)there was about a 15 to 1 ratio of liberals to conservatives who posted responses on that site. Under two years later it became 2 to 1. It happened so fast I thought that either 1)it was a another coordinated attack by rightwingers to invade a liberal-leaning site or 2)Republicans discovered the internet overnight. The ratio is arguably even closer today. Maybe Huffington was a victim of its own success. It got HUGE during Obama's 2008 victory and became the hip place to be. The more attention it got the more likely it was going to become a place of intrigue for "others." Red State doesn't have to worry about something like that because hardly anyone knows about that piece of garbage.
I don't have a Facebook account but I'm guessing the fact that most sites these days provide an easy road for Facebook users to sign up to websites and message boards. So I'm going to also guess that most of the rightwing dunces that you find on HP these days joined through Facebook, (otherwise they may have been too lazy to go through signing up in the first place).
