(135,425 posts)He says stupid things. He's been lacking in judgment for many years now, and he's a huge liar about his wealth and investments.
Creepy, crappy man. Feet of clay in Army-Navy Store boots.

(27,461 posts)if we're going to discuss what he said, we might as well post what he said.
He added: Im not saying he wants to censor this, I think he should sensitize people that they should protect their children family by family from these kinds of electronic child molesters.

(146,338 posts)Ralph Nader seems to have slipped over the edge even further, it seems to me. Having a nephew who is 15 years old, I haven't noticed any sexual stuff in his constant video gaming. He uses Internet porn for that, I believe.

(27,461 posts)the connection to the child molester is that they both harm kids.
I've always thought Nader's consumer activism has been based on data, but I'm not sure this comment is. I think Nader is attacking a safe product.

(16,191 posts)He seems to be saying dumb things like this more and more often over the past few years, and his statements seem to have less and less to do with reality. I still think he's right a lot more often than he's wrong, but he doesn't seem to stop an think before he speaks anymore. I lost a LOT of respect for him when he called Obama an "Uncle Tom" in 2008. While I agreed with the overall message in his statment, I was floored and disgusted by his use of the term, and haven't really considered myself a "Naderite" since then. I know a LOT of Nader supporters who have abandoned him over the past few years because of stupid statements like this one.
Mr. Nader, it's time to retire.

(25,999 posts)Although the argument could be made either way concerning the link between video games and violence, I believe the blame rightly lies with the parents who allow their children to play them for untold hours on end. As Aristotle wisely noted, 'all things in moderation,' and violent video games is no exception.

(24,347 posts)Ralph just sounds like an angry, bitter old man who desperately wishes he lived in Mayberry. It's one thing to be disappointed that the President hasn't kept some of his promises, it's another to accuse him of not doing his job because entertainment is violent these days.

(24,347 posts)It's about parental responsibility, not government regulation--we already have an ESRB, but that doesn't stop Mom from buying Call of Duty: Black Ops II for her 10-year-old kid.
