People Do Not Like Congress

As I recall, political incumbents enjoy a 96% re-election rate.

What do North Korea, Lindsay Lohan, the Ebola virus, gonorrhea and the Kardashians have in common? They are the only things people say that they dislike more than Congress. People vastly prefer lice to Congress, which I found interesting. They narrowly prefer Donald Trump and Genghis Khan to Congress. I don't think that they adequately familiar with Genghis Khan's occupation policies.

People like root canals and colonoscopies more than Congress. By 2-to-1, they like replacement referees more than Congress and they prefer brussel sprouts by an astounding 3-to-1 margin. They even like cockroaches, political pundits, and used car salesmen more than Congress.

And, yet, they just reelected almost all of Congress's incumbents.

Go figure.

1. It's been that way as long as I can remember. A majority don't like Congress as a whole...

...but they like THEIR members. So nothing ever changes.

3. People might not like Congress, but they love the likes of Cantor, Ryan, Bachmann, and Masha

Blackburn who almost always vote in a manner those constituents dislike. Go figure.
