As if space travel was not already filled with enough dangers, a new study out today in the journal PLOS ONE shows that cosmic radiation which would bombard astronauts on deep space missions to places like Mars could accelerate the onset of Alzheimer's disease.

Maybe we'll have to use robots for most space exploration, after all.

They are very lax in what they include in the "publication." Expecting scientists to do their editing job for them. They have more than their fair share of retractions, and they have become a place to publish alt medicine tripe such as acupuncture. They are a pay to publish on-line open access journal.
