It's looking less likely that I'm going to be eating crow

(I still hope I'm wrong and will enjoy a delicious crow dinner at some point.)

Me on Nov 19:

I will fully embrace DUers saying "I told you so". I'll happily admit that I was a fool to even suggest that President Barack Obama and the Democratic Party would raise the retirement age or do anything to cut Social Security, Medicare or Medicaid benefits.

President Obama on Dec 14:

"The truth of the matter is that my policies are so mainstream that if I had set the same policies that I had back in the 1980s, I would be considered a moderate Republican."

President Obama on Dec 30:

"But David, as you know, one of the proposals we made was something called Chain CPI, which sounds real technical but basically makes an adjustment in terms of how inflation is calculated on Social Security. Highly unpopular among Democrats. Not something supported by AARP. But in pursuit of strengthening Social Security for the long-term I'm willing to make those decisions."

But when he says proudly that he is cutting ss despite his promises, despite the fact that the people who fought tooth and nail to reelect him don't want s&s cuts, I am sickened.

But I keep trying to tell myself that Obama must know something that we don't. It's the same thing I told myself when I first learned about his drone strikes in Pakistan.

I'll keep holding out hope, and I hope that you do too.

At no time during my life as a parent did I ever reward my sons when...............!

I sincerely Hope this was an act Required by some bs law or mandate.

As we all know, Media oft times Omits information crucial to the issue--I "knee-jerk" only to discover "it" wasn't at all what I perceived--but, I am no political scholar-I'm trying to keep optimistic.

Just yesterday I read that in Washington seniors are referred to as NPCs, nonproductive citizens. It matters not at all what one contributed in the past.

At .50 cents a 5 oz can it's too expensive.

We'll have to buy dried Special Kitty @ $9 a 16 lb bag.

And start collecting leaves and catalogs in place of toilet paper. But since we'll be homeless anyway, no need to worry about the plumbing.
