The only thing I could think of was that they may have rounded out my payments and that's all that was left in my account for the year. I've never seen that before.

Just curious.

Things that may have caused this: deducting an overpayment. Did you receive any notice of any such issue? Or, did you receive a bit extra in November due to a recomputation. Was youd Dec pmt the same as your Oct payment? You can also check with your local SS office or call 1 800 772 1213. I wish I still worked for SSA so I could look this up for you.

These people send out the checks, so can tell you faster than SS the status of your check.

Financial Management Service (FMS), a division of the Treasury Department
1-800-826-9434 calls from 7:30 Eastern time

Hard to believe it would be the 12/1 payment that you are just now questioning so I assume this is the January payment. Medicare premium adjustment is the most logical explanation but you will need to contact SS to verify that is what it is.

I always receive mine on the 3rd Wednesday of each month. My December check was the same amount as always.
