Middle class tax "extension" -- vs PERMANIZATION -- = OBAMA FAIL

No matter what deals are made, if Obama allows for a finite EXTENSION of middle class cuts--versus making them PERMANENT--then he is falling for a GOP ploy to kick the can to a later day.

We'll just have this ugly fight on another day, presumably with Republicans in a stronger position (it can't be weaker than today).

PERMANENT tax cuts, or Dems once again cave!

The kabuki theater game both Obama and the GOP have been playing for the past four years -- manufacture crises with "do-or-die" deadlines.

Do we ever envision a time when taxes shouldn't go up on everyone? I don't. The tax rates were perfectly fine under Clinton, why are they bad now?

Taxes definitely need to go up on the rich, capital gains must go up, corporate minimum must come back and I'd love to see a Wall Street transaction tax but I don't see why working class people shouldn't also pay a little more. Save the very poorest from it but everyone should be willing to pay a little more for the greater good.
