Is today's republican party the new confederate party of today?

Are they willing to destroy this country because they are bigots and believe anyone taking government assistance is a mooch? And only the rich are the worthy ones?

I personally know "moochers" who are "disabled" used to send me email complaining about too much welfare. He has been on Disability for years, raised two kids and has the nerve to talk about "Liberals" who mooch. BTW he is also a big Christian and he votes Republican.
