As long as Americans continue to faitfully tune in and watch "It's a Wonderful Life" every year...

No political, socioeconomic philosophy based on self-interest will ever win out here.

No Randian disciple will ever become king of this castle; no one who attempts to purposely divide the country into the worthy and the moochers, the job creators and the peasants, the makers and the takers will ever win the hearts of the American people.

Donald Trump will never be anything more than a circus clown. Not while the Bailey Building and Loan is still open for business.

Merry Christmas, Bedford Falls.

It is one way to be "with" my forever 26 year old son who died 13 years ago from a brain tumour. I was just talking to his once fiancée. (She finally married last year.) We both remembered how much he loved that movie even BC (before cancer). He WAS George BAiley.. or an angel as many told me they thought he was after he died
I miss him so much..His dad joined him 11 years ago. Merry CHristmas. I miss those wonderful holidays we all had together. At least I have memories.

We never stop missing them, though, do we? We likely never will.

Here's to loved ones who have gone on before us...

charmingly naive in many ways, but ya can't help but enjoy it.

I say go for it, and tell Grumpy Cat to just 'deal.'

Let Grumpy enjoy A Christmas Story tomorrow--that's probably more his speed!

Have already watched it twice this year.

Someday, maybe, I'll be able to watch it to the end without getting misty.

I think I'd seen enough of it enough times that maybe I had seen it all, just not all at once. I watched The Ref, The Santa Clause and now am watching It's a Wonderful Life!

Patriot Act, MCA, domestic spying, FBI and local police trying to eliminate peaceful protesting, NDAA and indefinite detention, Citizens United, etc. Plus the HOR is still controlled by the REpublicans and the Senate will continue to be unless Sen Reid takes action. Our voting rights are worse than many third world countries. Millions of our children go to bed hungry and have no health care.

Looks to me like the "political, socioeconomic philosophy based on self-interest" are winning.

Having said that, have a Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays

We will give em hell next year.
