Stop trying to make sense out of what the NRA says

They are a lobbying organization for the gun industry. However irrational their response is to us, it is quite rational as far as representing their clients who stand to lose a lot in sales.

So the thing to do us just go around them. They will never agree with us. That's not what they're paid to do.

Too often we try to reason with members of the alternate universe like the NRA. There is no reasoning.

We just work around them or overpower them. It's the only way.

There are many of their sane members who realizes guns has gotten out of hand. If the best answer they can come up with is adding more guns to schools then are we going to need armed guards in places of worship. Shopping centers, theatres and other public places. We can not back down this time, start grading Congress members on sane decisions to place controls in areas they should. I imagine we have more citizens who think this assault weapon with many rounds available in one loading is used to kill innocent people. Enough is enough rate theCpongress members as being for early abortion after birth.

Considering that we're talking about the mouthpiece of the gun industry, protecting its revenue...

if it means bringing about the realization of an oppressive Big Brother government which they claim to fear, I suspect it's more about money than concern for personal or governmental freedom.

With the masses; bought into the NRA's propaganda it's primarily fear driven.

It's a macro dynamic equivalent to the psyche of the Sandy Hook school shooter's mother, her own paranoid fears became her undoing.

The enlightening First Amendment is a Right based on courage from both the people and government whereas the 2nd is rooted in fear, their over reliance on fear; stoked by the NRA and gun manufacturers' greed if unchecked could become the Republic's undoing.

Thanks for the thread, Gman.
