"A WBUR survey released Thursday indicates that Brown, who was defeated in last month's election by Democratic challenger Elizabeth Warren, grabs the support of 47% of registered voters compared to 39% who say they would vote for a generic Democratic candidate in a hypothetical 2013 special election contest.
According to the poll, Brown also has double digit leads against possible Democratic candidates such as Representatives Ed Markey, Michael Capuano, and Stephen Lynch, who have all expressed interest in possibly making Senate bids."

(17,055 posts)this time they better put up someone as good as her or we here in MA are in deep doodoo.
We always tend to assume that the winner was the better campaigner and that the loser made harsh blunders (like praising Antonin Scalia or going off on a tiff about someone claiming partial Indian ancestry). I'd be interested in hearing your critique of Warren's weaknesses as a candidate. I personally would like to see her around for a few more years, but she did win in a Democratic year in a very Democratic state.

(113,102 posts)The Dem nominee for the seat would have Kerry's political team in Massachusetts working for their campaign, and I highly doubt Obama's organization team would sit this one out this time around. I am sure there will be proper planning in place for GOTV before the announcement of the nomination is even made.

(113,102 posts)ready and in gear right after the Inauguration. That's a huge difference from 2010. Of course, Mass Dems will NOT sit this one out again. They may have been a bit lazy in 2010 but, they are NOT stupid and won't lose that senate seat.
