First fair warning. I was at a pawn shop this morning looking for some Diamond Earrings for my beloved wife. This was being discussed by the patrons, and it was on the news. Not sure what channel it was, forgive my ignorance. Now, I made it home, and did a little looking online. Of course, Faux had it, but I skipped that link from Yahoo. I did find a link to PBS, which is better than Faux, if only a little.
How did a weapon purchased by a Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms official turn up at the scene of a cartel gunbattle in Mexicos Sinaloa state? Thats what Sen. Charles Grassley has asked the Office of Inspector General to probe.
OK, let's skip past the Rethug politician who is obviously trying to score points against the President. Let's ask this question. How the hell did it happen? What they were talking about at the Pawn shop was that the ATF supervisor had lied on the federal forms. You know, those forms that are supposed to show the ATF where the gun went to. Supposedly, the Agent used the office address of the ATF as his home address, which according to the group at the Pawn shop, most of whom were buying guns, was a Felony.
Grassleys documents show the former ATF supervisor also gave false addresses to the gun dealers he purchased three weapons from. In two cases, he gave the address of the ATFs office in Phoenix.
According to Reuters.
The source said the weapon was purchased in the Phoenix area. Gillett acknowledged to CBS News the gun was likely his, but said he sold it through the Internet in 2011.
OK, seriously? Why don't we fire all those idiots hired or promoted during Rethug administrations when we get into office?

I'm thinking, from the Caymans.
