Fox News and ABC news can go screw!
How many times after a tragedy, does the face of the killer have to be plastered all over the place? How many potential copy-cats see all the attention the killer gets?
I remember being disgusted after the VT Shooting/AZ Shooting/CO Shooting, when I opened ANY news source website and have to look at the face of the killers over and over again. It was particularly bad after VT and AZ.
For a while there it looked as if these news organizations were celebrating these killers. Sort of the anti-hero, throw them in your face bang, boom, pow look at the face of evil!!!!
But his time it feels to me that some news organizations have grown up. Giving the attention and coverage to where it should be. The victims.
You go to any of the primary sites for NBC news, CNN news, CBS news and there is one thing you will not see. The face of the killer. You will see photos of flowers, caskets, anything but the killer. As it should be.
However you head on over to ABC, Font and center taking up half the screen... The killer. Oh and a little picture of some flowers left next to a tree.
Head over to Fox and you'll want to vomit in your own mouth. Big and bold and in your face, is the killer and his mom.
Frankly I'm sick of the media glorifying (in their twisted way) these killers. Sure, it is news to discuss them, and report on them, just stop it with the plastering their face all over the place. I respect CNN, NBC and CBS in their move to not glorify the killer in this tragedy.
