Dammit!!!

I didn't wake-up to the headline, "NRA Declares Bankruptcy, Wayne LaPierre indicted on Animal Porn" Oh well, there is always tomorrow. With that dream crushed for today think about this. Gun people always talk about AR-15s and AK-47 clones being great for hunting and stuff. Jam those big-ass clips, 20-30 rounds and just go clear out the forest. Well, that seems to work great in movie theaters but it's sort of illegal in most woods where you can only have 5 rounds in the clip. Odd, but they need those big-ass clips? Gotta have um? Maybe it's when the deer attack? Wait, it's for when you absolutely have to kill every tin can in the woods right? Tin can hoards demand maximum firepower with a massive armed response.

While we're at it why do most snipers, hunters, and competition shooters use bolt action rifles? I mean the most accurate rifles in the world are bolt action, not semi-auto like the AR-15 and the AK clones. If you claim to want to hunt with it why are you using a less accurate gun? Weird huh? To sum up, you want a gun with a clip you can't hunt with and is less accurate for hunting? Really? Oh, I get it, you want the less accurate gun so the rabbit has a chance!! Oh, OK, well that makes sense.

I don't want to share the woods with hunters who are shooting those kind of firearms. I agree. As a person who likes to hike in the woods, I don't want to either although I was once told by a gun nut that I should just stay out of the woods during hunting season. Really? Since when does a minority class of people own all the park lands?

I do a lot of photography and even some tin can plinking in the woods and when I see the nuts with the ARs and the AKs I move on to the next set of woods. Like Richard Pryor once said about being pulled over by a cop, "I don't wanna be a mo%^# fu#^% accident."
