Why not make all the Bush taxcuts permanent?

Eventually, it is not about taxcuts anyway. It is about the necessity to cut more government programs. But you knew that.

And what other way can one cut Social Security except to stop money from coming into the fund?? Simply cutting benefits or raising the age for Social Security does not cut the program. The same amount of money would continue into the fund unless, of course, we cut the amount that goes into the fund.

And why not just leave the "filibuster" rule the way it is? Why tinker around the edges and actually end up doing absolutely nothing?

Isn't he the one that didn't let them expire? ''Oh, but the unemployed!'' I was one of the unemployed at the time and I am unemployed again but I would rather have my UI benefits cut than to kowtow to the 1% again. Maybe if Obama would actually pursue a jobs program instead of making sneaky free trade agreements (TPP) behind closed doors, he and the Repubs Could no longer use we the unemployed as a bargaining chip.
