85 years ago you could by dynamite at the hardware store

It seems ridiculous today, but that's the way it was. The worst school killing to date happened in Bath, Michigan in 1927 when a disgruntled man packed a ton of explosives under the local school over a period of months. After beating his wife to death, he set it off the explosives with a timer and murdered 37 kids and two teachers. He then drove up to the school, called the superintendent over, and detonated his vehicle, murdering the superintendent, another child, two other adults, and himself.

Sound familiar?

Why? Because according to the law in the State of Ohio, fireworks (which include the innocuous sparklers) are considered a "dangerous ordinance." Guns, on the other hand..........

or background check. In the 1927 massacre, Andrew Kehoe used the material that was easiest for him to get ahold of. Were he around today, he could just as easily have used assault weapons.
