There is no way our neutered fucks will ever end this stupidity, not with seventy-five Senators so that is the best plausible outcome for the both the piece of shit efforts.

(34,661 posts)There is already a Keystone I pipeline running through the Midwest. This piece of crap is mostly for Brownsville Texas refinery that is now increasing it's capacity to handle Bitumis crude. This is some nasty stuff, just ask anyone who lives in Billings Montana. We were there last year when the pipeline across the Yellowstone blew, what a mess, smelled like a hot tar roofing job going on.
This is nothing more than a payback to big oil for their political contributions. No help form the Blue-Dogs,(Baukus,Tester,and Conrad)on this. They are nothing but corporate shills anyway. Never met many farmers whom really new what was in their best interest unless it was personal interest(Bachman the Flower Grower Lady).
Congress can move legislation to approve this pipeline, not Obama, but, this is going to be one of Frank Luntz's talking points how Obama is the anti business candidate, without telling you that all this can be done by Congress.
Factoid, all of the heavy crude from the Unitas is railed to Calagary, nobody wants the crap,to expensive to refine and none of the western refineries have the huge capability to handle this stuff. Can you say China-China,they supplied the pipe.

(1,435 posts)that stand to profit if deal goes through. Insider trading
Obama never said no, just wait til environmental study is done. THEN he will decide.
It is not that many permanent jobs anyway, oil will be for export; why risk water supply so Bonner can cash in on his insider trading.

(46,585 posts)The projected job creation has gone from hundreds of thousands to tens of thousands to thousands; the real figure of permanent jobs is under 100. The filthy oil product also is not for our consumption (it will go on the global market) and it will not be refined here in the states.
It's all a big shell game.
