Obama's speech in CT impressed my neighbor.

We were having some wine on my backporch earlier this evening & we talked about the cruel massacre of those little innocent children. Out of the blue, he said, "I'm really liking Obama. That was a good speech." He has a very tiny 6-year-old daughter in kindergarten & an eight-year-old son, & he said he can relate. His daughter looks like a little doll & his son is talented & smart enough to be the next Tiger Woods -- I kid you not.

I live in the deep south of Louisiana, so, needless to say, hearing him say that made my evening.

2. I got the feeling before the election that he's not all that interested in politics.

He seemed receptive to & open-minded about my political opinions, though, but I try not to seem pushy about it. He's a really good guy & we usually keep our conversation upbeat when he comes over.

Pres Obama's words gave comfort to the grieving parents, family, and friends and a grieving nation.
