That is not "covering it up". That is trusting the wrong people, who were indicted for lying to the grand jury. THEY covered it up. My Grandpa didn't call the police when he found out his son was molesting his own daughter - he beat the total crap out of him with a 7-strap razor strap, and removed his daughter from the home. Does that make my Grandpa a terrible person? I don't think so.

He walked past that worthless piece of shit everyday, knowing that he was fucking little boys up their asses in the showers at his school and claimed his hands were washed because he told his boss. Great, he did what the law required of him. Unfortunately for him, most of us don't determine worth merely by following the law. He knew an old man was ramming his dick in the assholes of young boys and was content to work next to this man for years.

He was a worthless piece of shit.

such a clueless prick is that people who work in education, even coaches are bound as quasi officers of the court to REPORT THIS SHIT OR GO TO JAIL! You can't even have the chance to decide if it rises to the occasion of a reporting. YOU DO IT OR GO TO JAIL! He knew this was going on. He had to report it to the cops. Telling the higher ups and probably telling them that they risked money and his fake rep as a great icon if they went out of house wasn't enough. It didn't fulfill the legal obligation. Joe Pa is a pedophile enabler and an accomplice in multiple child rape.

Anyone who says differently needs to examine their conscience. No one child's life is worth a stupid, fucking, asshole-ish football legacy. Everything connected to Joe Paterno is fake. Nothing is real. So what they won games. The whole edifice is fake. Get over it apologists. Or better yet. Consider it happened to your kid. defend his sweet old man nice guy fakery then?

think paterno is worse than sandusky but he is. He could have stopped it but he didn't. I wish the mandatory report thing was made really clear to some of the people on this list. They would get it that he should be in jail too and he's equally if not more responsible. I hope you never have to report, Obamanut2012 but I'm glad for kids that you are there and understand, unlike paterno what you have to do.

Mon Jan 23, 2012, 02:30 AM
Jan 2012

Jerry Sandusky retired from Penn State in 1999

Mike McQueary witnessed Sandusky raping a boy in 2002

The next day, McQueary told Paterno that he saw Sandusky horsing around in the shower with a boy. He did not try to stop the rape, waited a full day to tell anyone and instead of going to the Police he went to Joe Paterno

McQueary never told told Joe Paterno the boy was being raped, PERIOD. McQueary told the grand jury he told Paterno it was HORSEPLAY. That same day McQueary told Paterno, Joe reported what he knew to Tim Curley the athletic director for Penn State

After investigating Tim Curley banned Sandusky from having underage children to campus, and sweep the rest under the rug.

To this day Tim Curley & Mike McQueary are still on Penn State's payroll, but Joe Paterno was fired

BTW according to the Police and FBI Joe Paterno did fulfill the legal obligation

A naked man horsing around in a shower with a child is sex play. Paterno dropped the ball. He did. Paterno is as big a fucker as anyone of them and you cursing me out about the facts is bullshit. I was mandated reporter for 27 years just like Paterno and I was told the legal obligations. Paterno didn't fulfill them but don't let that get in your face. I get it. Football. Penn State.

I can see how much more important that is than someone having naked 'horseplay' with ten year olds. You obviously don't get the reporting obligations we have. But then I doubt from this post and your tone that that matters. Have a nice day. I can think of about twenty children who never will thanks to your good old Joe Pa.

And lauded at his death, or declared a victim, or given an effing state funeral. The enabler could have stopped it over a decade ago, and is a mandatory reporter, yet failed to do his legal and ethical duty.

The child rapist is called scum. The child rapist's main enabler is called a legend.

his "main enabler"--I've seen no evidence that Paterno, say, got boys for him. And, according to the PA attorney general, Paterno _did_ do his legal duty. Moral duty, not really, but legal duty, yes, since he wasn't charged with a crime.

Not saying Paterno doesn't deserve the criticism. As long as it's fair criticism. The child rapist is the one who committed a crime.

I just save my contempt for the JERRY SANDUSKYS of this world. There's also at least one man in Michigan with a criminal record because of what I saw him doing to his stepdaughter, and as LATER facts revealed - his own daughter. I only wish he he'd gotten more time. Six years, out in two.
