Hello

[IMG][/IMG]

I am scheduled to go to Albany, NY, tomorrow. It is the annual "meet the legislators" day. I am going to be meeting some assemblymen and senators, possibly even the elusive Thomas Libous. Also, there is a rally planned, and I may be speaking there.

If any of you are near Albany, please consider coming at around 10 am.

Thanks to everyone here who is supporting me.

Pat

We are fighting to keep fracking away from the Catskills, another watershed that provides water to NYC. Catskill Mountain Keeper is doing a good job lkeeping people informed and calling for action.

That being said, your action will be an incredibly powerful one against big oil and lobbying effort, perhaps the most powerful yet. I will forward information about your brave stand to the organizations working to stop this insanity.

Thanks you for all you do.

Some Canadice NY members will be there, that's the group I'm in (well, since work started up again after the Christmas break, I haven't been able to get to meetings anymore )

People from Richmond, Rush, and other Fingerlakes towns will be there too.

Please relay the support of many others of us who can't be there due to work commitments.

I don't live but about 45 minutes from Albany, out in Schoharie County where we are fighting against the hydrofracking. We also went through the disastrous flooding from Hurricanes Irene and Lee. I have been working on the recovery effort with SALT (Schoharie Area Long Term) recovery group. I have followed your postings for several years as a lurker and have recently joined DU. I feel a kindred spirit with you. My prayers are with you, brother. Unfortunately, because I did see this posting way too late, and it's my own fault, I have already spoken with Lopez and Seward and let them know my stand, I cannot be in Albany in time to aid you. Perhaps in the future I can be of more assistance.

The head of Schoharie Valley Watch lives three doors away and we know each other well. They are in the forefront of the battle locally. State Senator Seward is all over the board on this, about like Mitt Romney.
