What can I do...some thing other than signing petitions and posting stuff online?

(12,427 posts)Change can begin at the state level, meaning state legislators. Gun reform will be a long, long battle....years! I doubt we can get the money we need.

(43 posts)It's not much, but I decided to donate proceeds from my ebook "There Comes a Season: Stories of war and Peace" to an already established local (Cincinnati) peace and justice non profit (Intercommunity Justice and Peace Center).

Encourage like minded people to do the same.
If possible, donate money or time to like minded politicians and political groups.
I am ashamed to say that "gun" issues were not a large part of my decision making processes. I foolishly assumed that nothing could be done ... I refuse to accept that now.

(3,398 posts)Hound your elected officials, write to your local paper. Influence your friends, even if it means marginalizing the gun nuts among them.
