Was just throwing away a bunch of old newspapers and mags and half of them had pix Lord Mitt and Lady Ann grinning like jackasses on them, felt great dumping them and made me realize how sick to death I was of them.

When I woke up on Nov.7, felt just like Christmas morning.

(81,440 posts)Glad you're here! I remember that day SO fondly. Woke up feeling this HUGE sense of relief, and contentment, and relief, and a sense of great triumph, but calm. And relief. And gratitude and wonder, marveling at the millions of voters who came through like champs, for their own right to vote and for the country they and we all love, and they didn't buy into the lies and the propaganda and they didn't get discouraged because some partisan assholes were trying to make it nearly impossible for them to vote. And did I say I was relieved? I was more or less on bliss-out mode for more than a week!
DAMN it felt GOOD!!! ALWAYS good when you win a hard fight, but MAN, it's hard to top this victory for sheer marvelous sweetness! I personally felt safer and more secure, as a woman and the mother of a daughter of childbearing age.
We need you! Let's keep the majority TRUE BLUE!!!!!!

(13,920 posts)Today it would be "guns are bad, we must prevent bad people from getting them". "I love guns" would be tomorrow, after the NRA let him know their desires. The man is nothing if not willing to say anything he thinks might be slightly popular.

(2,522 posts)It seems they stiffed the "media" with outrageous charges for meals and what have yous, only to have the pathetic losers whine like a $2 bottle of Apple Jax. I think it is aptly fitting that the "media" whoooas would be grifted by two smarmy rich inbreds. And for that I tip my top hat to Lord and Lady.

(81,440 posts)Dang - he was SO phony and stiff and cold. What a cold fish. Nothing in there but plastic and scheming and lies. And the haughtiest, most smug, most arrogant, most entitled wife I've ever seen. Worse than "Queen Nancy" reagan and even barbara "Quaker Oaks Guy" bush. Although not by much, regarding that one! Good Riddance to both of them, although they'll be crying all the way to the bank, I'm sure.

(2,431 posts)He made a boatload of money off of running for President. He got to pocket so much SuperPAC money after it was spent buying airtime on Clear Channel.
Now he is sticking everyone he can with his campaign expenses. http://www.rawstory.com/rs/2012/12/14/news-outlets-to-fight-romney-campaign-over-food-travel-expenses/
And that "see, I don't exploit loopholes" tax return? Those can be amended.
His string of jaw-dropping gaffes made me think of The Producers. Did he actually want to be President? Why have that headache when you can make zillions just running for President and cashing in on the hopes and dreams of affluent racists everywhere? You'd have to be sure and lose, though.
He got really fat and happy and would be just pleased as punch to see everyone forget he ever existed.
What he needs is to be made an example of. What example does his successful scam set for children?

(100,099 posts)Obama so far has handled this with class. Mitt probably would've handed a blank check to the NRA.
