How would you mainly describe the policies Barack Obama has pursued as president - as socialist, liberal, moderate, conservative, or libertarian?
Socialist: 26%
Liberal: 22%
Moderate: 28%
Conservative: 6%
Libertarian: 4%
Don't Know/No Answer: 15%
Another interesting question:
Do you have a positive or negative view of socialism?
Positive: 33%
Negative: 49%
Don't Know/No Answer: 18%

(24,979 posts)Around a quarter sounds right for right-wingers plus those influenced by RW propaganda to respond to "Obama = Socialist." The group rating socialism positively would presumably be more on the left and show little overlap. Then again, in The Land of Confusion as Virtue, who da hell knows?

(6,238 posts)I made the mistake of quoting it to a right-wing, supposed lawyer, who called Thrugood Marshall dirty socialist. For someone who went to law school, he had a very poor grasp of basic political science.
