Remember the Texas Republican candidate caught voting twice? He only just lost his election

despite the Republican Party withdrawing their support, and asking for their donations back:

Bruce Fleming, the Republican candidate for Fort Bend County Precinct One Commissioner, is under fire after his voting records revealed that he has voted in both Texas and Pennsylvania elections in the same year.

Several area blogs and Fort Bend area websites run by area residents such as juanitajean.com reported that in 2006, 2008 and 2010 Fleming voted in person in Fort Bend County elections and by mail in Pennsylvania in the same general elections, which is a third degree felony in Texas.

The Fort Bend County GOP has already withdrawn its support for Fleming in response to the news about his voting record. The party has also asked Fleming to return all campaign donations made to him during his recent run. His name will still be on the ballot on this year’s election.

“This action was the result of a loss of trust in the candidate. It is the party’s firm belief that its candidates should hold and exhibit certain ethical standards. One of those is the sanctity of the vote,” Fort Bend Republican County Chairman Mike Gibson said. “The Republican Party of Fort Bend County considers this to be of the utmost importance and believes that if it cannot be sure that a candidate agrees with and follows those standards, then the party will not support the candidate.”

Fleming was running against an incumbent Democrat; here are the results:

County Commissioner, Precinct No. 1
REP Bruce Fleming 22,970 49.26%
DEM Richard Morrison 23,661 50.74%

The fraudulent candidate still came within a whisker of winning, despite good evidence of continued voter fraud. And I can find no record that anyone is going to prosecute him for the obvious felony.

Oh, and just to show what a nice guy he is:

Bruce Fleming files reveal abuse allegation

Mrs. Fleming has filed for divorce against him in both Harris County and Bucks County, Pa. In 1995 in Pennsylvania, a petition for Emergency Relief from Abuse was filed by his wife, who asked the court to evict him from the house.
...
In the Emergency Relief from Abuse, Nancy Fleming wrote: “Mostly verbal abuse, harassing, yelling. He followed me up and down stairs. I locked a door at one time and he banged on it and I let him in. He teased me about killing me and pointed a gun at me. He shoved his nose in my face and pushed me.”

The event, which according to official records occurred at 10 p.m. said the plaintiff (Mrs. Fleming) was placed by physical menace in fear of imminent serious bodily injury.
...
Official records also show that homestead exemptions are being claimed for both houses–the house in Fort Bend and the one in Pennsylvania. This is also illegal and might put Fleming’s claims of being a resident of Fort Bend County, which is necessary to run for the commissioner office, in jeopardy.
