I just ran across http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=show_mesg&forum=214&topic_id=162592&mesg_id=162601 when I remembered what an amazing source of information DU can be.
I'm trying to help out some guys putting together a documentary about D&D. I recall back in the 80's (between 1982-86) watching a nationally televised televangelist show where a group of people discussed D&D. One televangelist described a D&D scenario where a party is fighting a dragon. A knight stabs the beast but "it's like a pin going into an elephant." The wizard then teleports away to safety before the rest of the party is burnt to a crisp. The group of televangelists then go on to talk about how D&D is Satanic. It was awesome.
This might be crazy, but does anyone recall seeing this? Are there any clips online? Would anyone have an idea as to how to find footage or this, or perhaps other shows on the topic?
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

(23,957 posts)"Skullduggery is a 1983 Canadian film written and directed by Ota Richter, whose career was deservedly short. It stars Thom Haverstock as clueless dolt Adam, a gamer driven insane by his dungeon master, and Wendy Crewson as his platonic love interest, Barbara. This movie, along with Mazes and Monsters, was a stepping stone on the path that led to Crewson becoming a moderately famous Canadian. The rest of the cast sank almost without trace."
