Five CEOs With Negative, or Low Taxes That Have Laid-Off Workers

One of the Republican arguments in support of lower corporate taxes is that if American corporate taxes were lower companies would hire more workers. George Zornick has compiled a list of five CEOs who between the years 2009-2011 laid-off thousands of workers even though their companies either paid either negative taxes, or low taxes.

The tax rate for these companies ranged from -14.8%-20.7%. The number of workers laid-off ranged from 4,000 to 54,000.
