Hillary 2016: the good, the bad and the ugly.

OK, disclaimer, if Hillary wins the 2016 primary, I will vote for her and campaign for her. That is because frankly, the GOP is NOT ACCEPTABLE under ANY circumstances. To paraphrase a quote from Winston Churchill: "If Satan decides to attack the GOP, I will need to find something nice to say about Satan!"

I understand her appeal:
many do want the first female president,
many baby Boomers would love to see one of theirs become a president that would leave a strong legacy.
many like the fact she is seasoned,
many simply want Rush Limbaugh to hang himself in the studio.
many want America to be able to stand up for women worldwide, and at home.

However, there is one fact that will not be washed away: Hillary and her Husband were the people who helped take the democrats from the reluctantly left to Republican lite. They have given their blessing to many things that frankly, are things this country needs to drop like a Hot Potato: Outsourcing, the Keystone Pipeline, carte blanche to Israel, NAFTA, Charter Schools. Does anyone think that she will truly try to rein Wal-Mart in?, when she was on of their executives?

You can tell me she is a centrist, but you cannot say she is a liberal. Now, before you say it, yes Obama became a center right person in the vein of Clinton, and many of us, even those of us who made damned sure Mitt was kept out of the Oval office, are still angry about that. The things that disappoint people about Obama are not the ways he is unlike Clinton, but the ways he imitates Clinton!

And yes, while she may be what is needed to keep the GOP out of the Oval Office, and while I realize that we cannot let a Jeb or Paul do a jihad against liberals as revenge for Obama, but pray tell, what is there to say that once Hillary is in, she will not go back to the hippie punching and pandering that, after all, served her and her husband so well, even if it serves us poorly?

I didn't vote for her in the primary because of that bomb Iran interview with Bill O REALLY??? Sorry, that's what I call him. I like her is the problem. But I think we've come too far over the past few months to go back to that centrist viewpoint.

On the other hand, if we swing so far left, the pendulum might just swing against us that much harder one day.
