Hallmark hunts down 'horrifying' 13th birthday card
Greetings card firm promises to find all remaining copies of old card attacked for sexualising young teenage girls

The greetings card giant Hallmark has promised to track down all remaining copies of an old birthday card which has been attacked for sexualising 13-year-old girls by equating their breast size with their future boyfriends' generosity.

The card, which surfaced on Twitter yesterday, drew immediate criticism because of its front cover rhyme:

"You're 13 today! If you had a rich boyfriend, he'd give you diamonds and rubies. Well, maybe next year you will – when you've bigger boobies!"

Twitter users took to the social media site to labelled the card "horrifying", the "worst card ever made" and "wrong on so many levels".

1. The card dates back 15 years, to when another company made it before

Hallmark bought them. And it's in the UK.

If it were in the US I'd definitely get my knickers in a twist, but for now I think I'll pass. Though it is indeed horrifyingly tasteless.
