Here is a report from President Bushs key person about the 41st presidents hospital stay:
President Bush gets better every single day. Dont be alarmed by the fact he hasnt come home yet. The doctors want him to be 100 percent before he goes home this time.
He has set up command central at Methodist Hospital. The movie studios have sent him boxes full of movies and I have taken him all my Christmas movies. Local restaurants are sending over food. The kids are all coming to visit. He enjoys news and gossip.

How does this hand picked Bush hack remain on air posing as a journalist???

He gets to languish in a hospital until he is 100% well?
That is pure bullshit.

(11,464 posts)this sounds to me like he is now in hospice.
When people make progress and recovery they are released even if not 100%, but many hospitals now have sections that are considered hospice and except for Art Buckwald, i don't know anyone who got out of it for a long period after.
I do not wish him ill health.
I do not like his politics, and what he did, but we are liberals and at this time in ones life
we should not wish someone ill. At least I don't.
time enough later on for reflections on what he did to us all these years and we can then question everything like the bums on the green that day.
At that time, most likely, while Teddy, Bobby and Jack are up in heaven, liking what happened and smiling about the recent election, we then can contimplate the fact that probably they will not be seeing Bush41 up there with them.
but there is time enough to think about those things at a later date.
Let's respect this moment for the grandkids and great grandkids. b

(11,464 posts)the title of the original link, the first 3 paragraphs and three other responses are indeed about Bush41.
Most likely they haven't told him his prognosis, though if you are in the supermarket the newspaper screams out that he wanted to leave the hospital and go home to die three weeks ago now (think its The Globe)
As he probably watches Fox, and if he wasn't told his prognosis,or more likely his kin wasn't told, then certainly one wouldn't want the news to break that news he doesn't know
If a relative of mine was in hospice, I wouldn't want to have the tv blurt it out so they could hear it.
BTW-one never knows when a syncophant breaks ranks and reports the truth.
Look at Candy Crowley, never a fan of the democratic party did at the debate when she couldn't take it anymore and told the liar he was lying.

(11,464 posts)Would you want say your relatives to find out something you didn't want known?
Or weren't prepared to hear?
Anyhow, maybe he shall recover as Greta said, and will be home for Christmas and live a nice long time so he can see Hillary45 pulverize his son Jeb in 2016. I do hope for that.
A thorough repudiation Nov.2016 of Jeb and the family once and for all.

(33,956 posts)My comment is about the preferential treatment that the medical center is extending. Many hospitals in Texas have a very long history of VIP treatment and that pisses me off and should piss anyone off that has family members who have been sent home long before they should have. Much of what is being done for him is on OUR healthcare dollars.
It does NOT sound like a hospice situation--and I have the experience of almost 30 years of nursing in Texas. Hospice is a very economical solution that relates mainly to reimbursement by the insurance provider but I pretty much guarantee that if and when that time comes for Mr. Bush to be transferred to comfort care, it will be done in the privacy of one of his own homes with a plethora of medical staff at his beckoning--not in a hospital environment sharing caregivers with others. There is no need for that in his financial and psychosocial situation.

He did ONE good thing - just ONE in his entire miserable career - is signing the Americans with Disabilities Act.
He at least tried to improve our way of living.
And you know what - with the UN disability treaty that failed two weeks ago, and insulted Bob Dole, you have to think about what W's generation has done.

Until we the people go to the streets demanding that corporate shed themselves of our Press we can't expect to get any reforms off the ground. In fact the slippery slope keeps getting steeper and more slippery with each passing outrage.
