(55,981 posts)Bush Crime Family are in strong with our masters. Why would the Republican voters want him? What a wonderful change from the current circus clowns they have now to choose from. IMO, the majority of Republican voters dont want any of the current candidates.

(28,158 posts)He's a great hope, but not great enough to beat Obama this time around. So, he's now, "the great Republican hope simmering on the back burner until 2016. That is, if Americans finally forget the FUBAR 8-years under GW Bush."
If that's what Republicans call "hope" who are we to argue?

(14,047 posts)It might require large quantities of tequila and meth first. You're going to have to short circuit both reason and empathy.
Then just concentrate on: Hate! Hate! Hate!
Do that for a few hours while listing to recordings the best of Rush Limbaugh 1994-2004.
Rinse, lather, repeat.
Still not there? Hurt somebody you don't know. Blame the media. Hurt some more people for no reason. Kick a puppy. Feel guilty? If yes, you're still not ready to understand.

Plus, Jeb is fluent in Spanish - they might assume that would help pick up some Hispanic votes

Besides, GW Bush made a horrible mess of things. A few Republicans might be stupid enough to vote for Jeb, but I don't think he could win.

(11,833 posts)I read here often that some think Jeb might 'step in' later in this primary race. Or that he's the republicans' presumptive nominee in 2016. I don't agree. I think most people, even many within the republican party, understand that the W. administration was horrendous. Maybe the worst in American history. The Bush family name is dog food and will remain dog food for generations (no offense to dog food).

(13,616 posts)The GOP is going to be desperate. Even though the fix is in for Newt, and even though Obama is a loose tooth, they know it might not be close enough to steal with Mitt. Jeb thereby gets brokered in, during a conventiuon that is in his home state. It would sure help that the GOP will get to see first hand that Jeb owns this state.
Again, I am surprised Rick Scott is so quiet. Considering the all Florida, left and right, is pissed at Iowa and New Hampshire, Rick has a golden oppritunity to be a spolier, and it is not like Jeb Bush is his friend.

(11,175 posts)Conservative Republicans are despondently looking at a high probability of a Romney nomination, partly because they lack a clear alternative.
One consequence is that anyone who might fill the ABM role gets at least a moment in the sun. Jeb isn't out there campaigning, the way Bachmann, Perry, and Cain were, so he never has his weaknesses exposed. The grass is always greener on the other side of the fence.
