my cousin posted this the other day on her Facebook page, and I laughed pretty hard. Knowing a bit of Yiddish helps.

I rarely spell it the same way twice. This time the spell-checker suggested what I went with.

Each of them took a verse, complete with a few hand drums and me on guitar. Great fun. Lighting up the World by Peter Himmelman. Here's a vid, which is pretty bad, if you can ignore that and just listen to the music. It's from a good collection of Chanukah Music called Festival of Light (linking below).

To download just the Himmelman tune: http://www.amazon.com/Lighting-Up-the-World/dp/B009ZWU5T0/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1355021989&sr=8-3&keywords=himmelman+festival+of+light

Most of these wonderful Jewish dishes are in the I cannot eat category.

Tomorrow will see if the purveyors of GF pastries at the market have a stand in for sufganiot.

I don't celebrate it, but the latkes look good!

And good on any religion that doesn't proselytize.
