Christie Vetoes Bill That Would Establish Obamacare Exchange

Christie Vetoes Bill That Would Establish Obamacare Exchange

New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie vetoed a bill that would have begun implementation of a state-run health care exchange in compliance with President Obama's healthcare law, his office announced Thursday. New Jersey now joins 18 other states that have declined to create exchanges, leaving the federal government to do it for them.

Overall - I LIKE the idea of the Fed Gov taking it over . . . I mean what's to say they can't allow people to "purchase" Medicare.

I need an evil laugh smiley.

Any way to get to Medicare for all - I'm for. And these Republican Governors don't realize that when they slam their door a window is opening . . .

...seem to think they're being tough. The disincentive for Republicans wanting to reject the state exchange is pretty sweet, federal control. Yeah, President Obama built that.

So veto away, Governor Blowhard.

What is beyond ironic about these GOP Governor’s refusal to support the Obamacare exchanges is that they are accelerating the emergence of a single payer (a la Medicare) universal health care system in America.

Among Democrats, it's near 80 percent. I know a lot of Democrats are looking forward to the full implementation.
