WTF? This is the same "news" organization that couldn't conduct an exit poll? Who can't report SHIT accurately? But NBC has "confirmed" that it's all "true?" REALLY? Or did that confirmation come in the way of a press release from the Defense Department, and NBC just read it on-air?
So, after this report, their war correspondent says they haven't actually done anything but get ready to do something. They haven't ACTUALLY loaded saran on missiles. Just like Saddam didn't actually have WMD, he just was ready to want to have them. Sounds like more bullshit to me.

(31,464 posts)You're totally underscoring what I'm saying. Of course we know Assad is a heinous man, capable of anything. But that is not the point. We were told the same thing about Saddam, with all sorts of "evidence" put up to "prove" it.
Did Saddam do the sort of killing of dissents that Assad did? Sure. Of course. Did the U.S. back both of them for a time? Yes, they did. And now the U.S. is done with Assad, just as they were done with Saddam. And the stories start coming out...he's filling up the missiles, he's going to attack at any minute.
And we're supposed to believe this because NBC says they "confirmed it?" Do you care to explain to me how NBC News "confirmed" this? They don't do news anymore. Did they send one of those 23 year old blondes into Syria and say "Uh, excuse me, sir? Did you load saran on your missiles? Y'know, like poison stuff?" Or did one of the war guys from the DOD or Congressional War Mongers (whatever their official name is) simply issue a press release to them?
ASK QUESTIONS. I'm not saying I'm right...I'm saying I have a serious sense of deja vu. Or maybe I just think I've seen this before...hmmm.
