Obermann turns my stomach. And he has gotten fired from every job he has held in the past few years. He doesn't play well with others.

He quit MSNBC. Even Rachel Maddow confirmed that on the air. Current had been wooing Olbermann for months to come there. As far as not playing well with others, he and Rachel Maddow are pretty good buds, and many people I respect followed him to his new show. His support staff had been with him for years, I think it was three different shows, and some of them speak highly of him.

He left MSNBC because he thought with the NBC/Comcast merger, he would be muzzled. And from what I have seen on MSNBC slowly emerge, I believe he was certainly right about that.

She, along with other select other msnbc hosts, are literally the undermining Fox and CNNs foundation every day little by little with the truth

The weekend news shows are dead man walking anyway. Not even Rachel can save MTP

The future of weekend news is people like Chris Hayes

But if NBC wanted to route the competition and prolong the genre a bit longer then hire Keith O

Very simple.

He's like a fricking laser when it comes to getting to the heart of an issue. Rachel is perfect where she is and the one that I will never miss no matter what. But for the MTP format, Martin is perfect.

Except the sound of his voice. He never lasts more than a mile when I drive on weekends and since I stopped watching MTP he is the perfect choice. Others may differ.

As much as you all might like a leftist in that chair, the show depends on having a reporter in the position. They won't be able to attract guests otherwise.

Although sadly it would never happen.

People wonder why the country is so screwed up just need to look at our Sunday mornings. The most intelligent, informative conversation of the week is stuck on an obscure cable channel (MSNBC) that most of Americans don't even get. While David Gregory spews his nonsense to millions on broadcast TV.

And for those who say Chris is too liberal.... I find the information and conversation on "UP with Chris Hayes" to actually be non-partisan. They discuss facts. The show is not a left wing propaganda show. What it is, is the most factually accurate political broadcast that is telecast each week.

The country would do very well to have Chris Hayes as host of Meet the Press.
