The local DC channel 9 TV station has been running a news segment with this name all week. In it they present a very simplistic explanation pushing the cliff as an impending disaster. Each segment has a different aspect, but always ending with the disaster to come if nothing is done. There is nothing in the pieces about the Republican brinksmanship that led to this. How the Republicans held the debt ceiling hostage and caused TBonds to be downgraded.
I'm really tired of it. But it does demonstrate how the media spoon feeds the public dumbed down versions of issues with cute window dressing.
