There are also reports on Twitter that landlines and cellphones are unreachable, and anti-government activists are blaming the government for the blackout, according to the Associated Press. Reuters has ominously linked the blackout with a fight between the Syrian government and rebel forces outside Damascus International Airport, whose airspace is suddenly empty, according to tweets on the issue.
