This is the same shit that the President went for with Judd Gregg which I also though was a bad idea at the time, he appointed asshole Gregg as commerce secretary and Gregg didn't like it because he couldn't do whatever he wanted to do and by the way Judd Gregg looks like the Grinch who stole Christmas..

With Obama under some pressure to name a Republican to his second-term Cabinet, will the president maybe, you know, consider finding a spot for the former Massachusetts governor?

"No, no," Carney said. What about inviting Romney to help with a possible reorganization of the Commerce Department? "The president does not have a specific assignment in mind for the governor," the press secretary said.

it seems no matter what the media puts out there the President goes for it while I scream Noooooooooooooooooooooo!

When they were talking about closing Guantanomo I listened as the media went along with the repugs with Peter King,McCain and the rest of the gang tried to pretend it couldn't be done and that he couldn't put the terrorists with our regular prisoners.

When that little game was going on I kept saying so the terrorists are so bad that they must have superpowers and were far superior than all of the other prisoners in prisons all over America, and the media kept the republicons lies going again.

Also, I watched as they were afraid to have the trials for certain terrorists in New York but they(RepubliCONS) claim to be so tough, shouting USA,USA,USA, so what in the hell were they afraid of?

Now,I see the media talking about the President closing Guantanomo again but now all of a sudden the talking heads claim it can be done. They are full of shit!!!

And another thing, the police did act stupidly, when arresting the professor in his own house.

If Obama gave rMoney a job, it would just confirm the reich wing's opinion of him (moderate and unreliable).

Thu Nov 29, 2012, 04:31 PM
Nov 2012
IGOR BOBIC 3:18 PM EST, THURSDAY NOVEMBER 29, 2012

President Obama hosted his former Republican challenger Mitt Romney for lunch that lasted over an hour at the White House on Thursday. The two men discussed the role of America's leadership in the world, pledging to keep in touch in the future. White turkey chili and Southwestern grilled chicken salad was served. Full readout from the White House:

This afternoon, President Obama and Governor Romney visited for an hour over lunch in the Private Dining Room adjacent to the Oval Office. Governor Romney congratulated the President for the success of his campaign and wished him well over the coming four years. The focus of their discussion was on America's leadership in the world and the importance of maintaining that leadership position in the future. They pledged to stay in touch, particularly if opportunities to work together on shared interests arise in the future. Their lunch menu included white turkey chili and Southwestern grilled chicken salad.

But I really don't see it happening. Obama really doesn't like Romney personally (though maybe that changed after today, which was probably the first time they ever really had a conversation). Plus, Romney really was an outsider within the Republican party, so he doesn't have a lot to offer in terms of building bridges. If the president is going to appoint Republicans it makes more sense to appoint Republicans who have served in the House or Senate for a long time and might be able to push some of their former colleagues to support the president's agenda.
