I usually say that if you are bargaining with someone who says they will cut off both your hands and feet, and you only lose one foot - you should not have been bargaining at all.
Gotta admire the GOP - they start out with an absurd starting point, and the Dems fall for it every time.
Sometimes I think they believe we don't notice that.
The GOP has absolutely mastered the art of moving the Overton Window more and more to the right, and into the pockets of the 1%.
