The proliferation of bipartisanship notions floated on these boards is BS!!!

I know many DUers feel the same way. We may not be Beltway insiders but these boards are watched by many including lazy news orgs who pick up on stories. These boards are a hotbed of "boots on the ground" news and ideas that often go viral and undoubtedly shape policy. I never saw Congressmen ( Alan Grayson) or wives of VP candidates (the late Elizabeth Edwards) show up on any of "their" boards. Words spoken here have weight.

Floating ideas like the endorsement of Republicans for cabinet posts is a bad, bad move. What ever happened to "quid pro quo"? What have they done to earn it? Throw a McCain hissyfit? They are still the party of greed and racism and voter suppression. Nothing has changed. Look at the House Committee Chairs they have chosen. Why reward them? Once again, Dems are the battered spouse that keeps taking their mate back despite countless transgressions. To hell with them.

To reward is to empower. To empower them is to embolden them. For once, let's take a page from their playbook and show no quarter. FUCK EM. If Obama wants to appoint a Republican, that's his business. But let's not preemptivley green light the idea.

I thank every God as well as the Flying Spaghetti Monster that we won this election. I laugh when I hear about the "fiscal cliff". Why? Because it pales in comparison to the living hell we'd be living in if that right wing freakage masking as presidential and vice presidential candidates would have won. What would have happened to the Supreme Court? Women's rights? Social Security?

And what about honoring all the foot soldiers who waited on lines forever to vote? What about honoring the memory of our fallen comrades. Time to spend our political capital. if they won you know what they'd do. Time to do what is uncomfortable. Not to capitulate, even rhetorically, especially rhetorically. Words are everything. We have momentum. Lets not lose it by wavering.
