This is just sad...
It may seem like a strange move for an airline whose national dish is the rather more healthy raw fish dish of sushi.
But apparently, Colonel Sanders' fast food has a huge following in Japan, especially around Christmas time.
...snip...
Japan Airlines passengers on board flights to New York, San Diego, Chicago, Boston, Los Angeles, London, Frankfurt and Paris will get an Air Kentucky meal.
It will be made up of a KFC chicken breast, a chicken drumstick, bread, coleslaw and lettuce.

(146,317 posts)restaurants at the airport to take on the plane with me. I try to buy one that has aioli on it or something else that smells really good. Then, while everyone's waiting impatiently for the cart to get down the aisle to them, I break out the sandwich and enjoy something decent to eat.

(6,399 posts)Them and Pizza Hut are huge and it's always hilarious to see the Colonel show up on street corners in so many films and anime series from there. They're a far different culture than us, so don't apply the same filter to it as you would if it was done here. What's served is similar, but portions are hugely different as are the way it's served.
