Overheard following the President's luncheon today with Mitt Romney:

The President gave Mitt Romney a brief personal tour of the White House.

"This is the Oval Office, Mr. Romney. This is where I will be working as President of the United States for another term."

"This is the bedroom Michelle and I share. The girls' bedrooms are down the hall. We've enjoyed living in the White House for the last four years, and will enjoy making it our home for another four."

"Through this door is the White House Briefing Room. Unfortunately, I cannot show you this room, since you do not have the proper security clearance. There might be important national intelligence information visible. I'm sure you'll understand that only the President and properly cleared people can enter."

"Now, I must bid you a good day. As President of The United States, I have a very busy schedule, you'll understand. This Secret Service agent will show you to the exit. Nice visiting with you, and I hope you find work soon."

(Or, so I wish it would happen.)
