There are four Supreme Court justices over 74

Two nominated by Reagan, two by Clinton. Obama should get at least two picks in this term if the two Clinton appointees retire. There could be more if someone else leaves. But if one of the republican appointees leaves this term, it will instantly change the court. This is particularly true if Scalia leaves. He is the longest serving and amongst the most hard line.

Scalia Age: 76. Serving 26 years Reagan
Kennedy Age: 76. Serving 24 years Reagan

Thomas Age: 64. Serving 21 years Bush 1
Ginsburg Age: 79. Serving 19 years Clinton
Breyer Age: 74. Serving 18 years Clinton

Roberts Age: 57. Serving 7 years Bush 2
Alito Age: 62. Serving 6 years Bush 2
Sotomayor Age: 58 Serving 3 years
Kagan Age: 52 Serving 2 years

Breyer wont want to retire.

Scalia and Kennedy wont allow Obama to replace them. They'll only let a democrat replace them if they get way too old or have health issues. Both can last beyond another 4 years, at least.
